Long time, no see

So...I've been travelling a lot this month for business, plus battling a sinus infection, so the site has been pretty idle. I do have a unit of French Dragoons and Generals painted up, as well as the good guys from Chaos in Cairo, but none have been based yet so I haven't bothered to take any pictures. Plus, I'll be doing NaNoWriMo next month, so I doubt too much will get done. What to write about? Tough call...I wanted to do Napoleonics, ala Sharpe, but figured I just didn't know enough to make it historical, and if it's not too historical, what's the point? I'll probably do something Sci-Fi, maybe relatively modern horror. I'm still thinking about it. Watch my progress here:

More Miniatures Painted

I've now finished some Napoleonic French artillery.

40k Monster Conversion Guide

I stumbled across this Warhammer 40,000 Creature Feature. Some very interesting modeling.

More Miniatures Painted

I've been making a bit of progress lately! I've got all my Napoleonic French infantry done (well, all that I bought...I have two more bags ordered and on the way now), plus I took a break to paint up a Warmachine Khador Devastator warjack. Read on to see how I'm staying on track...

Post-Vietnam Wargaming Forum

Shock & Awe is a post-Vietnam wargaming bulletin board, sister site to Fields of Fire specifically for Vietnam.

Napoleon, His Army and Enemies

Napoleon, His Army and Enemies looks to have a wealth of information about the Napoleonic period.

More Napoleonics Finished

Just finished the Austrian generals and some French infantry. Lots of progress lately-- just over 100 figures done.

Uniforms Through the Ages

Uniforms thru the ages has a nice selection of color uniform plates from the SYW through WW2.

Napoleonic Warmaster

Karl's Seraglio has rules for adapting Warmaster to Napoleonics. March to the Sound of Guns is another, from the Hong Kong Society of Wargamers. As previously noted, you can download Warmaster here.

Napoleonic Wargaming Gallery

The Napoleonic Wargaming Gallery looks pretty nice, and includes the Napoleonic reviews from the now deceased Spanner & Yank.

Austrian Artillery Done

Just finished up my Austrian artillery stands.

Mentioned in Dispatches

Mentioned in Dispatches, the home page of the North Down Warlords, looks to have some good info, especially including the very valuable Napoleonic Contents, which has a beginner friendly guide to painting French infantry uniforms.
