Blood Bowl Three Way Throwdown!

Nope, here it is, just about the closest 3x board you could do in hexes, I bet. 15 squares wide, and 13 squares to score a TD from the LOS.

One slight anomaly is that you can line up in the center front square, and an opponent can still get three guys to your right on the LOS, not in you TZ, and not in the wide zone.

Kick offs are done by rolling dice. High roll chooses to receive or kick. If he chooses to kick, 2nd highest makes the choice, then the third. The kicker with the highest roll sets up first, and will kick the ball to the receiver. The kicker with the lowest roll then sets up, but is not considered to be the kicking or receiving team (although any KO results which affects both the kicker and receiver affects him similarly-- Throw A Rock affects the lowest roll). Finally, the receiver sets up last and takes the first turn as normal.

A block is only between players on the teams of the blocker and the target; and TZs from the third team are ignored. Fouls are similar. All TZs count for dodging. Any team member can intercept.

I still think it might be a good idea to narrow the center of the fields to 5 squares wide, and play 9 players per team.

Three Team Blood Bowl

For those times when you have an odd number of coaches, I've always thought it would be great to have a three team version of Blood Bowl, so everybody could play. Recently, I've put a little more work into this idea.

The first issue that stands out to me would be the board. I've seen three different ideas for this:

1. Hexes. I'm leaning mostly towards this, I think.

2. Square distortion. I really like this idea, which works great for everything EXCEPT passing. I'm mocking up a board like this, though, to try it out.

3. Irregular player positions to make squares fit.

As laid out in Tri-Bowl.

I started a thread on this over at talkbloodbowl.com (you'll have to register to see the thread).

Ripper Bolgrot

Finished the troll star player Ripper Bolgrot.

He'll do double duty between an Orc team and a Goblin team, but the Goblin team is going to have a swampy pitch, while the Orcs will have a rocky pitch. Orcs will be black and red, too, and Goblins in black and gold.

I was at a tournament years ago and the best painted team was a swampy pitch Goblin team. I loved the concept, and finally have a chance to imitate it.

Blood Bowl Ogres

Finished two Blood Bowl ogres.

A rookie ogre and the star player Morg 'n' Thorg.

I started converting the rookie ogre back when I first started playing Blood Bowl, something like 13 years ago. I have another one strangling a goblin somewhere, I'll have to finish it someday. But, for now, my human team is pretty much complete. The only thing left to do is get the numbers painted somewhere. I will probably just paint them on the bases, and then eventually paint them on the shoulder pads over time. I'll also paint some field stripes on some of the bases.

Are ya ready for some BLOOD BOWL?

cos I am!

Finished up painting my human team, other than an ogre. My son picked the uniform colors, based on this Air Force uniform from the SI 10 WORST uniforms, but I think it looks good on the figures.

Not bad for a month's work.

The Blood Bowl Pass Range Ruler

I couldn't find the dimensions online, so I measured mine. The ruler is 2" x 14". Range bands are at 5", 9", and 13". The "hole" for the throwers head is .5" in from the start (making the first band
4.5").

FUMBBL Team

I started a team, the Nauseous Norsemen. It's pretty cool, and uses version 4 of the Living Rulebook.
